​Join us for a friendly chat over a cuppa!

Our Regular monthly Drop ins are supportive and consist mainly of discussing relevant, irrelevant (and sometimes, irreverent!) topics and if they wish, telling the group of their experiences of the past few weeks. No-one is required to speak and new attendees may just wish to listen to others and draw from their experiences.
​Our SCARS Drop ins are very friendly affairs, "round table" style and are a good excuse to forget about the difficulties of life for a couple of hours.
​Most importantly, the group treats the drop in as private and confidential so that new participants can feel safe about what they discuss or disclose.
​Support and friendship is not just restricted to the Drop in as everyone is supportive to each other whenever anyone needs help or just a bit of company.​
​if anyone has a particular interest and would like this to be available at the afternoon Drop in then do please let us know as the Drop in is for you to enjoy quality time away from the stress and worry around a cancer diagnosis and we want to ensure that we can do all we can for you. At the Drop in there is an area set aside for Colouring Therapy for Relaxation (all supplied), other crafting i.e knitting, crochet and more as required and requested. We can also arrange for talks or other activities if you would find this helpful.

When can I join in?

We currently meet on the 3rd Monday of the Month from 2.00pm to 4.00pm in Stalbridge.
(Please note that our meetings do not take place on Bank Holidays)
  • Please note that everyone will be given a pack on attending and will be required to complete Emergency Information in case an emergency should happen at the drop in.  This is kept in a locked filing cabinet for security at all times.

Where can I join in?

In 2025 we will be holding our meetings in The Hub@Stalbridge, just off Station Road in Stalbridge. 
  • Should you be unable to attend the drop in please call the SCARS mobile (07961 027089) to discuss, as arrangements can be made to meet for a coffee somewhere more local to you
