About Us
SCARS are an independent, self funding peer support group that was set up in October 2014 by Tracy White, herself a cancer survivor, with the aim of welcoming all cancer patients, survivors, family & friends and to offer support to each other. SCARS currently meets for 'Drop ins' in Stalbridge. View our calendar on the Friendly Drop In page to find out more.
SCARS are an informal group who encourage open discussion in a safe and confidential environment and ultimately we want all of our all visitors to feel safe, confident and well supported and welcome at all times. As the meeting is open to and available for everyone to enjoy a chat over a drink and cake should anyone wish to speak to Tracy White confidentially and/or alone then this can be arranged at the meeting in a quiet area.
SCARS Group supports Everyone- adults, carers, patients, relatives, young adults affected by cancer, young adults with cancer, parents of children or young adults with cancer, men, women.
